February 29, the day Camp Nenookaasi burned to the ground, Seward Cafe hosted the Doll Brawl. As a benefit for the Autonomous Yurt Union, the need could not have been more urgent, as 23 yurts were destroyed, displacing the Indigenous-led healing camp for the fourth time in 2024. On top of the four bands playing that night, representatives from COVID Aware Twin Cities and Black & Pink Minneapolis provided resources and rounded out the community-focused evening.

Walking into the ballroom I was captivated by the lights that glowed bright behind the stage, Eagles #34 was such a cozy and inviting venue. This was the Melodic Noise Media benefit show for the She Rock She Rock organization. She Rock She Rock empowers women, girls, non-binary and trans individuals through the power of art and music. The benefit show raised $457 for this great organization. It was heart warming to see the community come together to support this amazing organization.

So the hardest part of writing year end reviews is finding unique descriptions that ultimately just mean "this album fucking rocks, check it out!" All of these albums fucking rock, and you should check them out. Hopefully we were able to explain the essence of these projects a bit more than such a surface level glance.
