FAVORITE MINNESOTA ALBUMS OF 2021

January 17, 2022 by Andrew Perrizo in Year End List

The Minnesota music scene made it through 2021. We didn’t see as many live gigs as we wanted, but we did our best with livestream concerts. Shows were back again in the summer, then they weren’t again onces winter started rolling in. I think 2022 will be a better year for Minnesota music, but before we get to that, one last look back at our Favorite Albums of 2021.

2019 ALBUM OF THE YEAR

January 06, 2020 by Andrew Perrizo in Year End List

So here is the thing, I like a certain type of music, and though my musical taste has greatly expanded over the last year, These are my favorite albums and EPs of 2019. You’ll find albums no one else included on their year end lists, but you’ll also find albums that EVERYONE has already written about. Ask anyone else and they’ll give you a different list. it’s impossible to set my bias aside. It’s also impossible to include everyone on this list, there are a lot of truly amazing albums I feel bad for leaving off these lists. I listened to over two-hundred albums/EPs from 2019 and relistened to all of them again over the last couple months. All that said, here are my favorite albums and EPs of 2019. Tell me why I’m wrong and what I missed in the comments.

VIAL "GROW UP" ALBUM REVIEW

November 29, 2019 by Andrew Perrizo in Album Review

Bittersweet lyrics hidden in distorted guitar hooks and crashing drums, Vial’s “Grow Up” will having you singing along to their emotional venting for just under twenty straight minutes. Toxic exes, perpetually negative and overly dependent friends, and Mercury in retrograde; “Grow Up” deals with gloomier side of adulthood.
