Spotlighting Minnesota Music from the Basement Up.
On July 8th over a closed-doors conference call, Deputy-mayor of St. Paul Cedrick Baker announced a plan to permanently close all three unhoused encampments in the city, beginning with the largest camp, located at Pig's Eye Park. To bring awareness, raise funds, and invite comrades to get involved, the Stop the Sweeps Coalition will host a benefit show on Sunday, July 26 at Eagles 33 in St. Paul.

Grant Hart was part of the legendary Minnesota Punk-Rock Trio, Hüsker Dü. Spearheading the Minnesota punk/hardcore sound of the 1980s, the band rose to prominence as college radio and alternative rock was making inroads into the mainstream. The band burned brightly but all-too briefly. In its wake, however, Hüsker Dü carved out a spot in music history. Influencing legions of bands, helping shape the 1990s rock scene.
