Top songs on the Minnesota Sound playlist.

Lazenlow, Brandon Pulphus "First Avenue"
90’s Trip-Hop group Lazenlow delivers a funky, synth heavy track with plenty of rhythm and an energized vibe. The track opens with a great guest verse by Brandon Pulphus before opening up to more melodic vocals. This song gives off the desire to dance, and certainly the desire to see a show at First Avenue. To hear more from Lazenlow check out the other half of this split single “Lovefool!”

Realcrazyworld "Come Back Home"
“Come Back Home” is a low/midtempo melodic hip-hop track with R&B undertones. The instrumental is watery and smooth with a prominent bouncing synth bass and tastefully subtle drums. The little vocal chop samples here are majorly satisfying. Realcrazyworld’s vocal performance is crooning and vibey. To hear more check out Realcrazyworlds EP “Sincerely Yours.”

New Rocket Union "Twin Cities Breakdown"
“Twin Cities Breakdown” is a DIY Garage Punk track with fuzzy guitars, thundering drums and gritty vocals. The song packs a big punch. The nonstop energy allows you to feel like you’re watching the band live. The minimal production adds to the organic, live show feel of the song. This song comes from the album “Twin Cities Breakdown.”

Daark "Covert"
“Covert” is a dark electronic hip-hop trap. With nonstop rapping delivered in an ominous vocal tone. The track weaves in and out of varying nocturnal sounds. This song features a sliding 808 and thick electronic drums. “Covert” is the latest single release from Daark.

Mike Dreams "Muralz"
“Muralz” opens with a dreamy, hopeful synth pad. The track picks up by thrusting the pads to the background and bringing a classic hip-hop rhythm to the forefront. Dream’s flow is so satisfying on top of this beat and just keeps on delivering. The song is confessional and heartfelt, full of vulnerability and quality storytelling bar after bar. This track comes from the new album “CAREPHREE.”

JoJo Picasso "Don't Worry"
“Don’t Worry” is a fantastic indie pop track with R&B and hip-hop influences. Prominently led by acoustic guitar strums and a big drum kit. The song features Picasso’s incredible voice weaving back and forth over the instrumental with impressive vocal runs, falsetto and catchy melodies. To hear more from JoJo Picasso check out the full length 2021 LP “Delete All That Shit.”
