Wanderer "Simone"
“Simone” is a brutal clash of metal and hardcore. The music is noisy, distorted and jumps around at break neck speeds. The powerful growls and haunting screams pierce through the fiery volcano of an instrumental just enough to spike your blood pressure and incite some headbangng. The song comes from the bands new album “Liberation From A Brutalist Existence.”
Eudaemon "Appealing to the Logos"
“Appealing to the Logos” is an almost 11 minute prog rock-metal hybrid track. With winding guitar leads, jazz influenced drums and melodic guitar strumming, the track starts out relatively mid-tempo occasionally breaking into a short stint of vocal screaming. Gradually the song opens up into more metal-influenced territory with more distortion and screaming. This is a song that takes its time and knows what it’s doing.
Divaj "GROOM"
“GROOM” is a club-ready hip hop banger. Opening with an iconic sounding synth lead line, the track quickly drops a polished set of trap drums and thundering 808s. All this sets the stage for DIVAJ’s nonstop flow, dripping with confidence and impressive lyricism. “GROOM” is DIVAJ’s first release this year.
Leroy Curriculum "Stand Raw"
“Stand Raw” is an incredible yet simple hip hop track. The song prominently features a classic string section sample and a boom bap influenced kick/snare pattern. The bass subtly bounces below the instrumental, providing energy and additional rhythm. “Stand Raw” has a perfectly catchy hook and effortless sounding rapping. Leroy pulls off something truly incredible here, all while making it look easy.
VVakefield "Evergreen”
Melodic hardcore band VVakefield’s second single “Evergreen” features sparkling production, a variety of energy levels and a heart wrenching vocal performance. The instrumental is tight and in-your-face with big drums, guitar tone and emotive chord progressions. Overall, another success from the Minneapolis band.
Idlflo - "Up”
“Up” is a rock track with meaty, clean guitar tones thumping bass lines and an up-front vocal performance. The band works together seamlessly, effortlessly working in unison. Fluttering between different refrains, energy levels and styles the instrumental sits nicely behind the lead vocals which are reminiscent of bands like The Red Hot Chili Peppers. This song comes from the bands new self titled EP.
