K.Raydio "20 Years”
“20 Years” is a song brimming with nostalgic vibes. From the dusty sounding, upright piano to the broken down drum samples, the instrumental sounds like it’s being played off an old tape cassette. The vocals are front and center, highlighting Raydio’s songwriting talents and delivered in a variety of styles. To hear more from K.Raydio check out their latest single “Good Exposure.”
Brunette "Pall Mall"
“Pall Mall” is an indie rock track with gorgeous midwestern guitars, chaotic drums and prominent vocals. The song features some beautiful melodies on the verses and a memorable chorus. The track builds gradually to an incredible, larger than life guitar solo at the end. To hear more from Brunette check out the song “Fight Night.”
NATL PARK SRVC "VHS"
“VHS” begins with a set of shimmering strings, opening up into a full-band instrumental, jam-packed with an array of fascinating sounds. The string section is soon joined by a wonderful set of brass instruments that give the song this magnificent, grandiose sound. The melodies are sweet and super catchy. Overall a huge success for NATL PARK SRVC. Be sure to check out the band's new EP “EP4.”
Jail! "Gatling Gun"
“Gatling Gun” is a 30-second track of pure chaos. Immediately the listener is assaulted with a barrage of noise, unintelligible shouting and stress inducing distortion. It’s fun though! The song is actually executed quite well despite its jarring nature and really successfully accomplishes its goal of raising the listeners blood pressure. The track ends by falling into an almost melodic moment right before transitioning perfectly into Eureka!’s next song “Ernest Shackleton.”
Shrimpnose, MADI "Frightened"
“Frightened” is a soft electronic song with downtempo trap drums and a wonderful verse by MADI. The track consists of a gentle acoustic guitar sample that plays underneath 808’s and crisp drum sounds. The hook on this song is super catchy and the two singers' voices sound fantastic in tandem with one another. To hear more from Shrimpnose check out the new EP “The Things You Take Pride In .”
Nora Nygard "Shotgun the Sky"
“Shotgun the Sky” is a sprawling indie rock track with psychedelic overtones. The instrumental features a very “Doors-esque” organ and dissonant electric guitars. The lyrics are poetic, thought provoking and confessional. This is a really intriguing track that command the listeners’ attention and delivers a lot of payoff for the longer runtime. This song comes from Nora Nygard’s latest EP “The Ghosts Beneath Our Feet.”
