Top songs on the Minnesota Sound Playlist.

Sarah Kayfes "Hesitation"
“Hesitation” opens with a heavenly chorus of vocal harmonies. The tune quickly shifts into a calming acoustic guitar progression with gentle vocals. The song is relaxing and the choruses are satisfying. There is a very subtle build to the track that keeps the momentum rolling forward in a beautiful way. “Hesitation” is Sarah Kayfes first release and she’s off to a great start!

Bad Idea "Psychomania"
“Psychomania” is a grungy track with anthemic shouting, driving guitars and a lot of energy. The song features a screaming guitar solo and frenetic vocals. The cover art is a great piece with an aesthetic that fits the track really well. It’s like “cool punk.” To hear more from the band check out their 2017 self titled album!

Problem Solvent "The Greenery"
“The Greenery” is a very versatile track. The dry vocals are front and center and hold the varied instrumental together. The track blends an incredible amount of genres and will shift suddenly from feeling like an indie bop to rapid fire licks of synced up vocal, guitar and drum runs. All of a sudden there’s a metal breakdown out of nowhere and then your back to the beginning. The song exudes creativity and Problem Solvent shows a lot of confidence and talent on this track.

Quarterback Club "Coast to Coast"
“Coast to Coast” is the title track off Quarterback Club’s latest EP. The song has a scratchy but laidback vibe. There is an organic sound to the track that is quite endearing. Tempo changes and a lively drum sound carry the track through a wash of background vocals and broken down guitars. To hear more from the band check out the rest of the EP!

The Strange Heroes "Little Fractures"
Rock and roll trio The Strange Heroes bring a classic old style instrumental mix to the track “Little Fractures.” The vocals are clean and prominent and the guitar gets a healthy amount of time in the spotlight. The song centers on themes of internal struggle. “Little Fractures” is the third song from the bands latest album “Self-Titled Album.”

SIROKA "Biohazard (Mankiller)"
"Biohazard (Mankiller)" is a hip hop track with an EDM inspired beat. The instrumental is reminiscent of artists like kaytranada with a four on the floor drum kit and pulsating synth pad. The production is top notch on this one and SIROKA is a confident and capable lyricist. The artwork is also a highlight, featuring an ominous set of sharp, sparkling teeth. "Biohazard (Mankiller)" is the latest in a string of new singles from SIROKA this year!
