Today’s episode is a bit of a different one. It’s the first episode where I don’t dig into an album with an artist. I came across the Minnesota Original Music Festival a few years back, and was curious to learn more. It seems set up differently from other summer music festivals, and I was excited when the Director Eli Hoehn agreed to come on and talk about it.
We got into everything from how the idea came about to getting funding for the festival. It was very insightful and I think you’ll enjoy it, too, especially if you’re an artist.
It turned into a two-parter because Eli also has a band called the Quantum Mechanics. So this episode will dig into the festival. Part 2 will dig into his band’s debut album the Quantum Mechanics 101.
