Top songs on the Minnesota Sound playlist.

Ganymede "Concrete Jungle"
“Concrete Jungle” is a groovy synth wave instrumental with a retro 80’s tone. Ganymede’s tracks would fit in great with The Weekend’s latest project. At almost six minutes long, “Concrete Jungle” builds and changes, drawing the listener into a nostalgic trance. To hear more from Ganymede, check out the latest single “Rhythm of my Heart.”

Sockhop Massacre "Ricin in Dinkytown/Move"
This track is pure garage rock chaos from beginning to end. The guitar is amped up with wild amounts of distortion. So much so that it begins to squeak with shrill feedback the moment it’s not being fiercely strummed. Vocals enter the track in the back half with loud angry shouting. The song comes from the bands latest LP “The Exciting Sockhop Massacre.”

The Bloodies "Wild & Violent"
“Wild & Violent” strikes a nice balance between high quality production and raw punk energy. The mix on this song is very clear for the genre but there’s no energy missing. The song sports breakneck drums, scratchy guitars and a droning lead vocal. To hear more from The Bloodies check out their album “Salem Bitch Trials.”

Geremiahhh "WAIT FOR U"
“WAIT FOR U” opens with syrupy sweet synth pads, setting the tone for Geremiahhh’s laid back sexy vocal energy. The vocal style is reminiscent of drake, melodic and smooth. The drums provide the perfect amount of bounce to the track. Everything here works together perfectly. “WAIT FOR U” comes from Geremiahhh’s full length LP “Gx.”

The Orange Goodness "For The Love of It"
The Orange Goodness is self describes as an American groove infused alt/indie rock band and judging from this song that’s pretty accurate. This song has some gnarly grooves, a heavy bass and amazing guitar licks. Clearly all three members are incredibly talented instrumentalists. The song balances the groups love for their instruments with catchy hooks and infectious melodies. This song comes from the bands latest EP “Flying Under The Radar Of Chaos.”

Mayyadda "Hunted"
Singer/songwriter Mayyadda presents an intimate ballad with the song “Hunted” off her latest project “Try&Remember.” The instrumental is a simple, sweet chord progression plucked on an old sounding acoustic guitar. The vocals are gorgeous, with swelling harmonies that grow across the length of the track, drawing the listener deeper into Mayyadda’s story and emotion. To hear more from Mayyadda be sure to check out the new album!
