Harlow “Zadar”
Local folk-rock band Harlow deliver a beautiful indie bop with their latest single “Zadar.” The track features country inflouenced guitar licks atop a solid indie rock instrumental. The vocal melodies are engaging and emotive yet delivered with a distinct and tantalizingly “chill” vibe. The mix is balanced, engrossing and engaging. “Zadar’s” sound is reminiscent of bands like The Paper Kites, blending ballad-sensible songwriting with modern production while preserving the organic feel of a live band performance. To hear more from Harlow check out their latest EP “Playing Dove.”
DJLOW, K.Raydio, Why Khaliq "Way Up"
“Way Up” is a melodic hip-hop track featuring atmospheric synths and trap drums. The song has catchy melodies, hypnotic chord progressions and hard hitting rhythms. The mix is thick and sleepy, invoking a dream-like aesthetic. The vocalists play off one another stunningly well and both deliver respectively engaging and complementary lines. “Way Up” comes from DJLOW’s EP “I Don’t Know Where To Begin” released in 2021.
Kaylee Kitzman "Gazebo Song"
Kaylee Ktzman makes a triumphant return with their second single “Gazebo Song.” Kitzman makes good on the high expectations set by the memorable single “Medium” released in 2021. Kitzman is unequivocally one of Minnesota's most talented lyricists releasing music today. “Gazebo Song” is poetic, moving and full of heart. Like the previous single this instrumental is shockingly simple yet perfectly complimentary to the incredible and stirring vocal delivery. Kitzman is two for two with this one and we can’t wait to hear what comes next.
Dizzy Fae "Body Move /Ying Yang Twins Remix)”
“Body Move” is an incredibly danceable track with simple yet intricate production. The song features a basic EDM groove with a perfect, heavy bass track. The vocals are glitchy, chopped and infectiously catchy. Pop sensibilities abound here, but aren’t overplayed. The song is unique, with a slightly retro vibe and plenty of groove. The remix, featuring the Ying Yang Twins, adds a polished hip hop verse that enhances the song even more.
The RI "Beer Break"
“Beer Break” is a DIY prog-punk track with prominent vocals, fuzzy guitars and breakneck drum rhythms. The production is minimal, organic and grungy. The song feels alive in a unique way. “Beer Break” is energetic and aggressive, with constantly surprising transitions. The song comes from the bands latest EP “TerrorBull.”
Brady Grey "I'm Not There Yet"
“I’m Not There Yet” is a polished singer-songwriter track with modern production and an expansive sound. Starting small, with an acoustic-driven verse, the song grows into a more full, pop influenced instrumental. Subtle synthesizers and clean, organic sounding drum samples add texture and energy beneath Grey’s increasingly passionate vocal melodies.
