ADMIRAL FOX "SALAMANDER" MUSIC VIDEO
Admiral Fox string together a dollhouse version of a sticky punk set by mixing kindergarten art project and shitty beer in their video for "Salamander." This recent single off their Nowhere Is Safe EP, which released in April, starts with a riff not dissimilar from The Offspring’s “Come Out and Play,” but the band uses the video to evoke the imaginative ingenuity of a kid stuck inside with no friends during a time where no one should go out nor play with each other. Their homespun concoction brilliantly highlights the childlike energy of a sweaty pit in the span of a ludicrously colorful, absurdly playful, and invigoratingly kick-ass two minutes and change.
"Salamander is a quick angry tune about deciding to stop waiting for certain people and/or power structures to change. Walter Smits, the director of the video, put together a mini house show performed by some puppet punks and attended by our regular-sized bassist, who ends up crushing some of their gear. It’s a lot of fun and we think our listeners will love it!" - Admiral Fox
