Whether you’re looking to start a vinyl collection or are searching for your grails to add to your record crates, you’re going to want to be at The Hook and Ladder this Saturday, April 2nd from 9 am to 3 pm for The Record Show. The Record Show is the longest-running and largest music sale in the Twin Cities, aa well as the perfect opportunity to hunt down your favorite albums while mingling with dozens of local music fanatics. Local record store owners and private collectors will be selling thousands of vinyl records as well as tons of other music-related items such as cassettes, live DVDs, posters, and other memorabilia.
Featuring records from ABBA to Zappa, from $1 bins to high-end collector’s items, there will be something rad for everyone. Many collectors bring hard-to-find local music, and most are always happy to shoot the breeze about music. Go dig through crates, listen to music, and chat with fellow music lovers at this event.
Originally started in 1992 by James “Hymie” Peterson (namesake of Hymie’s Vintage Records) and Rich Shelton, The Record Show has been happening around the Twin Cities every other month for 30 years.
