KEEP FOR CHEAP "FORGIVE ME" MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERE
Keep For Cheap’s “Forgive Me” is effortlessly unassuming. The track swells ever so slightly as each moment is, note by note, imperceptibly given greater heft and attack than the last. What is to start a light, folksy whistler, at some point becomes an intensely shredded stomp without losing or noticeably altering any of the qualities it began with. Where and how this happens is both indeterminable and integral to the magic of this self-dubbed prairie-rock quintet.
The video for “Forgive Me” carries on these mystically charming qualities by hosting the band on a carefree excursion to a farm. KfC film themselves paying no mind to the concept of land ownership while surrounding themselves with the unsuspecting animals in a barn and field. The spell is broken, though, when the self-dubbed prairie-rock quintet is caught. The band escapes as the song reaches its peak.
“Our song "Forgive Me" is about the consequence and frustration that often come with succumbing to impulse, and our video plays on this in a more lighthearted sense as Autumn and Kate get busted for sneaking on to a farm. The video, shot at Sunrise River Farms in Wyoming MN, mirrors the folky and far-away feel of the song, and we had a ton of fun putting it together.” - Keep for Cheap
