For close to a decade, 26 BATS! have been building a world of their own with their occasionally eerie but often dazzling tracks, tackling themes of yearning, emotional processing, and the liberating yet harsh realities that come with being your unconventional and authentic self. On February 22, 2025, 26 BATS! will embark on their first theatrical endeavor as a band, integrating both new and old material in telling a story of queer magic, live at the Southern Theater for one night only.
Entitled “Fairy Goblin”, this multimedia experience will feature drag, puppetry, props and set-design created entirely by lead vocalist and songwriter Bailey Cogan alongside a few other contributors within their studio space. Cogan describes “Fairy Goblin” as androgyny, a transcendent freakiness, if you will. “It is the energy I feel describes a lot of my friends and I.” they said. “One of the most important things right now is creating space for queer joy and community, and I hope we can bring people together for just that for this performance.”.
Tickets for this event are sliding scale starting from $10, with a door time of 7pm with the performance set to begin at 8pm. You can buy advance tickets using this link.
