Ricardo Papaya Wants You to Listen to The Symptones New EP

September 04, 2025 by Andrew Perrizo in Album Review

Do not and I repeat DO NOT sleep on The Symptones. I have been hearing their name around town but came into this listen pretty blank slated.  I like to do that from time to time so I am either pleasantly surprised or on the rare occasion bewildered by what the fuck I just listened to.

Poison Ivy And The People Divulge Existential Confessions on Robot Ghost EP

September 02, 2025 by Jim Byron in Album Review, Upcoming Events

Robot Ghost rejects tidy conclusions. The EP flickers with hope but refuses to extinguish discomfort; listeners move alongside the protagonist, drifting from dissociation and exhaustion to flashes of hope and rebellion. Each song becomes a new confession, a small act of resistance against self-destruction and collective despair.

Devon Worley Band Hunger for More in New Music Video “Up On The Mountain”

August 25, 2025 by Andrew Ellis in Music Video Review

Within 15 seconds I had my first internal ‘Whoa.” I was watching the Devon Worley Band’s brand new music video for their anthemic “Up On The Mountain,” directed by Rory O’Neill, and the images I was absorbing gave that feeling you get on Christmas Day when you open up a present that wasn’t on your list, but it ends up being your favorite.

river sinclaire "four friends say nothing" Album Review

August 21, 2025 by Ellie Howard in Album Review

From the outset, “four friends say nothing” presents an identifiable and replicable sound, melding influences of modern psychedelic with titans of (what is now considered) classic rock. This cohesiveness is partly due to river sinclaire’s reverb-heavy production and scratchy distortion, but there is also a confidence to their songwriting exemplified by their relative minimalism.

Katy Tessman "Turnbuckles" Album Review

August 18, 2025 by Andrew Perrizo in Album Review

Have you ever met someone and instantly you get this feeling like you have met before? There is a safety and familiarity about them. Upon first hug, it feels like you have hugged a million times before. A comfortability that hasn't had time to develop but is just there. It's a rare and strange feeling but this is how I feel every time I hear Katy Tessman’s voice. There is something very soothing and grounding about her music and what she vocally brings to each track.
